Breast lift

A Breast Lift, with or without implants, is a cosmetic procedure designed to raise and reshape sagging breasts, restoring a youthful and firm appearance. It helps women feel confident in their natural shape without necessarily increasing breast size. This procedure can be combined with an implant exchange for patients who have had previous breast surgeries.

About breast lift

Over time, factors such as aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, and gravity can cause breasts to lose elasticity and sag. A breast lift addresses these changes by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue. The procedure can also reposition the nipples and areolas to a more natural, youthful position.

How it Works

The surgery is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia and usually takes 2–3 hours.
Your surgeon will make incisions, commonly around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, or along the crease itself, depending on the degree of lift required. Excess skin is removed, breast tissue is reshaped, and the nipples are repositioned for symmetry and proportion.

Modern surgical techniques and anesthesia make the procedure comfortable and safe. Mild soreness, swelling, or bruising is common for the first few days but can be managed with medication and support garments. Most patients resume light activities within a week.

Quick answers to questions you may have

A lift primarily reshapes and raises the breasts. While it may slightly reduce size due to skin removal, it is not designed to significantly increase or decrease volume unless combined with an implant or reduction.

Yes. Many patients opt for a lift combined with augmentation to restore volume while achieving a lifted, youthful contour.

Most patients return to light activities within 7–10 days. Full recovery and final results are usually seen after 4–6 weeks.

A lift generally preserves the ability to breastfeed, but it depends on the technique used. Discuss your breastfeeding goals with your surgeon prior to surgery.
